Goodbye, old Logo ...

We have a new logo ! (We sure hope you noticed). As always, we take our customers' and other site visitors' feedback to heart, and many felt that a less colorful logo would look better. (The previous one reminded our friendly critics more of a site for kids' sweaters). Also, the new logo looks better with our proud  - and true -  slogan 55 Years of Quality. Yes, it's less colorful. But it looks a bit more up-to-date.

Talking about kids' sweaters: we may make them in the future but we haven't just yet. In any case we feel that such a move would probably warrant a separate website, just for juniors. Come to think of it, it might be an idea. Our Sweaterhouse team certainly has the capability to make kids' pullovers and cardigans. (By the way, could we have your feedback about that ?).

So, goodbye, "old" logo. You were a good friend and have served well. You are not quite suitable right now, but still beautiful.  And who knows, you might yet appear on a website of ours for kids' sweaters and cardigans.

We have fond memories of you, so we are keeping your pic on this page. Thanks !

Vince Lombardi Sweater (bought for 58 cents) sells for a cool $ 43,000

A sweater bought last year for 58 cents at a Goodwill store sold in an auction earlier this year in New York City for $43,020.

That sweater, with West Point on the front and the word "Lombardi" written in black ink on a cotton swatch sewn inside, turned out to be owned and worn by Vince Lombardi when he coached from 1949 to 1953.

A representative with Heritage Auctions, which auctioned off the sweater, said the buyer wished to remain anonymous.

The historic Lombardi sweater worn by the great coach was bought in June 2014 in Asheville, North Carolina, by Sean and Rikki McEvoy of Knoxville, Tennessee. They sell vintage clothes online.

"I picked it up and thought it was cool," McEvoy told ESPN.com on Saturday night. "At first, I thought it was a basketball warm-up."

As is the case with Goodwill outlets, the sweater was weighed for cost and McEvoy got change for $1.

Our comment: wow ! Good for the McEvoys ! Such sweaters are rare to come by.

On the other hand, Sweaterhouse sweaters are much, much more affordable, and much nicer (although we admit that we don't have any Lombardi sweaters in our inventory ...).

So, for now, we highly recommend that you browse our selection of classy pullovers, sweaters and cardigans. And we promise that for $ 43,000 we'll send you hundreds of pieces ...
